These charts were designed around star-hopping with a POETS mounted to a C-14. All charts are N up E left. Squares are approximately 7 arcmin and indicate the approximate field of view of a POETS as mounted to a C-14.
Note that these charts may take a long time to load.
The field can found very near to the naked eye (~4 mag) star Upsilon Geminorium. Ups. Gem makes a right angle with Castor and Pollux. Take your LEFT hand and make an L up to the sky such that your index finger touches Castor and the joint of your thumb touches Pollux. The tip of your thumb should be pointing to the approximate position of Ups Gem!
For a seven arcminute field, simply move the telescope west so Ups. Gem leaves the frame.
The move the telescope southward. You should see two moderately bright stars on the way. If you have moved the telescope too far west, you may see a boomerang-like assortment of stars.
